Our home base is Morrisville, and we clean houses and offices from Apex and Holly Springs to Raleigh and Durham.
A lot of the houses we clean in Morrisville, Cary, Apex and Holly Springs sit in newer subdivisions. They tend to be two stories, with carpet upstairs and hard floors downstairs. Many have a bonus room over the garage, and that room collects everything nobody put away. Raleigh gives us older houses too, where the hardwood gets a damp mop and never a wet one, because standing water works into the seams.
Spring pollen gets into every house
Every spring the pine trees here put out enough pollen to turn cars and porches yellow. It comes in on shoes and pets, and through any window someone opens on a warm day. Then it settles on window sills and ceiling fan blades, where a dry cloth just smears it around.
In pollen season we clean from the top down with damp cloths, so the pollen comes off instead of floating back into the air. If someone in the house has allergies, tell us. We can plan visits closer together through the spring.
Red clay ends up on floors and carpet
A lot of the ground around here is red clay, and it gets tracked in from yards and job sites. On tile it tints the grout orange. On light carpet it leaves a stain that spreads if someone scrubs it wet. The front entry and the path to the kitchen take most of it, so that's where we look first.
Humid summers mean more bathroom work
Summers here are long and humid, and a bathroom that never fully dries grows mildew in the caulk and the grout lines. We clean it off and dry the surfaces before we move on. If the caulk has gone dark all the way through, we'll tell you, because cleaning can't fix that and it needs replacing.
